Magic Penny Song Lyrics
By Malvina Reynolds Love is something if you give it away give it away give it away Love is something if you give it away You’ll end up having more It’s just like a magic penny Hold it tight and you wont’ have any Lend it, spend it, and you’ll have so many They’ll roll all over the floor Love is something if you give it away Give it away Give it away Love is something if you give it away You’ll end up having more |

Helping Hand Scholarship
The Magic Penny has been promoting education in rural Sierra Leone, West Africa, for almost two decades. TMP supports two primary schools in the village of Bompehtoke and, through its Chief Pieh scholarships, sends children on to middle and high schools in other towns. Now, these students have reached middle school age and support for them to continue their education is critical and more costly. The Magic Penny Helping Hand scholarship program will provide support for a student to attend middle through high school for seven years in a larger town/city. For one year a scholarship of $180 will cover tuition, books, uniforms and travel, and will help to defray the costs of boarding with other families. Scholarship monies can be paid in total, or in three installments, due March 15, August 15 and December 15. Click the donate button or simply mail a check to the address below. (You can also download the Scholarship Sponsor form) |
The Global Justice Club of Harborfields High School
Every year, The Global Justice Club of Harborfields High School in Greenlawn, NY, raises money for The Magic Penny. Under the supervision of faculty member Michelle DaSilva, the students put on a fantastic talent show, and then hand over the check. Thanks Global Justice! Could your group be added to our Sponsors list?
